Video: Naturvårdsverket on PPWR for packaging manufacturers
The Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's hour-long session for packaging manufacturers, in Swedish. Pallet and crate makers count as packaging manufacturers under PPWR.

Naturvårdsverket, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, guides Swedish companies on PPWR. In April 2026 it held a recorded session for packaging manufacturers on how the regulation affects them and which requirements they must meet (Naturvårdsverket on YouTube, 27 April 2026). The session is in Swedish and runs about an hour.
Why it matters for the pallet industry: under PPWR, whoever makes packaging available under their own name, or has it designed and made, is its manufacturer. That brings the conformity assessment, the technical file and the EU declaration of conformity that have applied since 12 August 2026. For wooden pallets, collars and crates this usually means the pallet maker, unless the pallets are made to a buyer's design or under a licensed standard. Our news piece [Pallets need a declaration of conformity too](/pallets-need-a-declaration-of-conformity) sums up the duties.

A tip while you watch: note which duties ask for records over time, such as the ten-year traceability of reusable packaging and the customers you supplied. Resupply keeps that record delivery by delivery, captured at the dock. Want to know what applies to you? Ask Resupply for a short proposal (in Swedish).
